Your usage of this service requires you to accept terms and conditions explained below. If you cannot accept all terms, please leave the site/app.
By accepting these terms of use and guidelines for handling personal information, you state that Liva in alignment with current legislation can use and store personal information, entered upon sign up, as well as health data, registered as part of the general usage of Liva site/app. You can read our guidelines and consent declaration below.
Consent Declaration and Confidentiality
To protect your privacy, we have developed guidelines for handling your personal information, that you must accept before using the Liva site/app.
When you sign up to the Liva site/app you will enter the following registrations of your personal data yourself:
Your contact information
Information about your height, weight, cigarette consumption, exercise habits and other lifestyle related information
Information related to illness and medicine consumption
We need this information to:
- Facilitate the contact with your health coach
- Help you with your planned lifestyle change
- Operate and develop the Liva site/app
Liva collects the information from Apple Healthkit or Google Fit on your devise. The information collected concerns your daily activity measured in steps. When you download the Liva app you will be given the opportunity to accept the direct transfer of information. You will always have the option to discontinue your acceptance via the general settings in the respective apps.
Your personal information will be stored in a secure Liva Healthcare database from the moment you accept the terms of use and in accordance to legislation. Liva Healthcare will admit your health coach access to your personal information, to provide you with the guidance you need. Your personal information will not be distributed to any 3rd party without your explicit consent.
To ensure that the services of Liva Healthcare are fits your needs we would like to reserve the option to contact you via sms, mail, e-mail, phone or push notifications related to your usage of the Liva site/app.
Research
Data about health and lifestyle in general, that you and other users register with Liva, is important information material to research and science within the fields of clinical healthcare, medicine practice and lifestyle changes. We would therefore like to make this information available to research and science projects, statistical purposes and tendency measurements. If your information is used for research and science purposes the information is released as aggregated and pseudonymous data. Scientists can therefore not identity you via the released data.
Cookies
This service and our partner sites uses the technology known as 'cookies'. A cookie is a little file that we store on your computer, which can store your log-in credentials and other data captured from your visits.
We are not using 3rd party cookies within our app or website.
Security
Your information is stored in a secure data environment hosted in Denmark.
All communication between you and Livas health coaches are stored in an electronical journal. The communication can only be accessed by personnel with appropriate access rights and under strict confidentially.
Special Terms for Users with Access to the App
General information on this site may not be used instead of professional advise or treatment by an authorized doctor or other relevant professional. Articles, content and other material in the health check is to be considered of a general nature, that cannot replace professional individual advise and treatment. Therefore, the general material should not be perceived as a diagnosis or a basis for a diagnosis. If you have health questions, please provide these in a direct two-way-dialogue with a doctor or other qualified health professionals.
Liva Healthcare, your municipality, central administration health bodies and organisations, our authors, our partners or other contributors to general material at our site should directly or indirectly not be held responsible for any consequences of using the Liva Platform and the general information and content provided within the Liva services.
All rights to content on the site/app belongs to Liva or our partners and must not be copied, sold, distributed or reproduced without written permission. It is however allowed for private users to print the material for personal and non-commercial usage, as long as it is not edited or changed. Furthermore, printed content shall be followed by these terms.

* When you download the app, you are given the option to approve that your steps is imported directly from Apple HealthKit to the Liva app. You can always open the app 'Health', go to 'Sources' where you can activate/deactivate this permission.
