What is the NHS Healthier You Programme?
The NHS Healthier You programme is a free, evidence-based diabetes prevention service designed to help people at high risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. It’s a 9-month programme that combines lifestyle coaching, educational sessions, and digital support to help you make lasting changes to reduce your diabetes risk.
Am I Eligible for the Programme?
You may be eligible if you have:
- Recent blood test results showing an HbA1c level of 42-47 mmol/mol (this indicates pre-diabetes or non-diabetic hyperglycaemia)
- OR a history of gestational diabetes (diabetes during pregnancy)
Additional requirements:
- Motivation to make lifestyle changes
- Ability to commit to a 9-month programme
- Access to a smartphone (for the digital elements of the programme)
